The Pamplona
Posse
The
best fun you can have in the world with your clothes on!
An Important Message about Dates
If you want to dicuss making
a booking you can give us a call on +447974428881 But first off a few words of
advice... Every year I tell people about the problems at the start of the
fiesta and the weekends and people still do not listen! The fiesta is a wild
party for ten whole days. People first arrive on the night of the 5th (very
important if you want to catch the opening ceremony, don't think you can arrive
early on the 6th, you can't check in until the afternoon, you can't park
anywhere and transport into town is impossible, plus you have to be in the Town
Hall Square by 10 am in your whites with your cold champagne). The fiesta then
finishes at midnight on the 14th, but some diehards like to try and 'run with
the busses' on the morning of the 15th. This year the nightmare days will be
the start of the fiesta and worst of all the weekends (at the start and at the
end), everybody and his brother will hit Pamplona
during these few days and basically the town can not cope. Last year there were
record numbers in town on the Friday and Saturday night and you could not move
or get served in a bar in the old part of town. In the mornings the runs were
impossible and very very dangerous, you could not run and it was just a mass of
people pushing, it was nothing to do with running with the bulls....it was a
nightmare. It is also the case that accommodation during the first few days and
the weekend is at least 50% more than at other times and transportation links
become impossible. Still if you must have these dates we can arrange things for
you but you have been warned!
For the fiesta in 2008 the
first few nights i.e the 5th,6th and 7th will be very very very crowded as it
is over both the weekend and the start of the fiesta. We can do a package for
these three nights but it is more expensive. The next 3 nights the 8th,9th and
10th will be the best nights for having a good run with the bulls and being
able to party in town, being able to move; we do a package for these three
nights at £65 GBP per person per night. We also have two more packages; the
nights of the 11th and 12th, i.e. the Friday and Sat nights at £75 GBP per
person per night and then the two nights of the 13th and 14th which we can do
at the rate of £50 GBP per person per night. Take my advice and avoid the
weekends, it just gets too crowded.
So
What Is The Pamplona
Posse ?
We ain't a tour company, but we do
sort out accommodation and ensure everybody who joins the Posse has a great
time at the Fiesta. Basically we are a group of adventurers who have been going
to the San Fermin Fiesta in pamplona
for quite a few years.... (one of the guys started running with the bulls in
1976 ) We have one of the top bull runners in our team who does a walking tour
of the bull run course each day and explains to all the beginners what to do
and what not to do in the run. We have Spanish speakers who can help you get
Bullfight tickets and we have many party animals who know all the best bars and
how to party to excess. We also can book balcony spaces to watch the bull runs
but these are expensive. Why does the Posse keep going to the Fiesta? Because
it is the best party in the World! If you have never been there then you have
been missing an expierence that is second to none. In fact I seriously do believe that you can divide the
world into those that have been to pamplona
and those that have yet to have the fun of attending the Fiesta. The other main
role of the Posse over the years has been to help out the film crews and
journalists that are trying to cover the fiesta. We have worked with the BBC
and a number of other film makers. In past years we did a documentary for
channel 4 (check it our www.onefourfive.co.uk) and helped produce a programme for the travel
channel with Dougray Scott as the presenter. In 2005 we worked with four
different film companies during the fiesta. We taught Jack Osbourne how to run
with the Bulls and we made a programme with Tara Reid which is now showing all
the time on the E Entertainment Channel. Each year we produce a Pamplona fanzine called
NO BULLSHIT which takes an off the wall view of the Fiesta and the art of
running with the bulls. So if you are one of the people lucky enough to stumble
on our small group then just go for it and join us for the greatest time of your
life! If you need any more information just click on the links below:
We are a small organisation, which specialises in
organising customised trips to run with the bulls in the San Fermin Fiesta in Pamplona. If it is bullfight
tickets, balconies, or the bullrun; hotels, hostels, or having a good time we
are they guys to sort you out. Running with the bulls is a dangerous and
exciting activity; it is a once in a lifetime experience and it can provide one
of the greatest thrills ever. The guys who run in our group have been running
with the bulls for many, many years and they try to pass on their expertise to
those that travel with us. Accommodation is a nightmare in Pamplona with all
the hotels booked up months and even years in advance, a City that only has
2,400 hotel beds and over 2.5 million visitors to the fiesta is bound to
struggle. We solve this accommodation nightmare by having a number of
apartments located in and around the center of Pamplona. These provide good quality
accommodation, and are in well chosen locations. We can also arrange balconies
to watch the run and can help find the best bullfight tickets. The San Fermin
Fiesta takes place from the midday on the 6th July until midnight on the 14th
July and for those eight days this quiet town in the North of Spain becomes the
party capital of the world. It is a wild insane party that goes on 24 hours a
day and the only break that you get from the excesses of drinking and dancing
is when you venture forth to run with the bulls in the morning. No other place
in the world combines bravery with such bacchanalian excess. Going to the
fiesta has been a life changing experience for many people. We have over the
last three years had our own film crew in Pamplona
recording all the fun and excitement. The films also make an incredible
souvenir. Many TV and film companies use our logistical services and rely on
the expertise of our bullrunners. Two years ago we found ourselves appearing as
bull running extras alongside Hollywood movie
star Dougray Scott, all in all it just added to the party. In 2005 we taught
Tara Reid all about the fiesta and we taught Jack Osbourne how to run with the
Bulls. Places with us are very limited so get in quick. If you want to follow
Hemingway's footsteps, then we are the guys to show you the way. This site will
provide you with lots of information about the San Fermin Fiesta in Pamplona. However the
best and most enjoyable way of finding out about the magic of Pamplona is to be there for the Fiesta. The
thrill you get from running with the Bulls is the most incredible feeling that
you will ever experience. Contact us now for more information. You can email us

Booking
Spaces in Our Apartments
If you do want to book some of the
spare spaces that we have, and trust me there is not that many of them. The
first bit of advice is get in quick. The email are flooding in already and many
people are booking again from last year. You must email bookings@pamplona.powernet.co.uk and discuss what you want. The more flexible you are the
better. But in general, tell us what nights you would prefer, check out our
packages for 2008 on our main page and also under our room rates section. Remember
we generally have a three night minimum booking, just tell us how many nights
and how many are in your group. If you also tell us if it is girls, guys
couples then that helps for the single/double bed situation. Please also tell
us where you are from and what you do. It helps us get a picture of somebody
who will be partying with us. If you do accept one of our quotes then get the
deposit or full payment to us asap and that way instead of being just pencilled
in your are fully booked in. Another thing to remember is that we provide the
beds but you generally provide your own sheets and towels.
